UIBC WORLD CONFECTIONER OF THE YEAR
Candidates for these awards must fulfill these conditions:
UIBC World Bakers of the year
After the merger of bakers and pastels on a global level in 2014, the UIBC first gave the distinctions for each of the professions that it represents: the bakers and the confectioners

UIBC Honorary Award
This award is given to a person or institution –not coming from the Bakery or the Confectionery sectors- that has achieved worldwide excellence in his or its work for the benefit of bakers and pastry chefs, confectioners and ice-cream producers. Approval for awarding the UIBC “Honorary Award” must be applied for in writing to the Office of the Secretary General, detailing the services achieved and the person or institution. The Presidium must approve the award.

Thanks to their many years of effort and work in the UIBC, the following people have been awarded:
UIBC Diamond Badge of Honor
The UIBC Diamond Badge of Honor is given to a person or institution –coming from the Bakery or the Confectionery sectors- that has achieved a unique worldwide excellence in his or its work for the benefit of bakers and pastry chefs, confectioners and ice-cream producers. The Diamond Badge of Honor is only bestowed under very special circumstances. Approval for awarding the Diamond Badge of Honor must be applied for in writing to the Office of the Secretary General, detailing the services achieved, the unique merits and the person or institution. The Presidium must approve the award and the Congress must confirm this approval.
