From 14 to 17 October 2011, the UIB Congress was held in Verona, at the invitation of the Italian Bakery Federation FIPPA. The four UIB Working Commissions, the UIB Presidium and the UIB Congress held their meetings, and an interesting lecture on “The Commodities Market in The Bakery, Trends and Future” was given. The event organization was perfect, with a very entertaining social program and highly participatory meetings, since all Commission meetings were open to any delegate wishing to attend, which lead to a very numerous participation.
The main conclusions of the Congress were the admission of Burkina Faso, Canada, China, Estonia, Morocco and Taiwan as observer members of the UIB, the green light for the merger of UIB and UIPCG, agreements related to the registration of our Union in the National Register of Associations of the Ministry of the Interior in Spain, the election of Andreu Llargués as World Baker of the Year 2012, the participation of the UIB in the International Congress of Nutrition ICN 2013 in Granada, the strengthening of the Working Commissions and the 2010 annual accounts as well as the budget for 2012.

The delegates from Taiwan, Mrs. Ellen Yin, from Algeria, Mr. Kalafat, and from China, Mr. Wu, participated for the first time ever in a UIB meeting. And Mr. James Griffin went to Verona to try to resume relations with Ireland after the passing of Patrick Garvey.

Vom 14. bis 17. Oktober 2011 fand auf Einladung des italienischen Bäckereiverbandes FIPPA der diesjährige UIB-Kongress statt. Die vier Arbeitskommissionen, das Präsidium und der Kongress hielten Sitzungen ab, auβerdem gab es einen sehr interessanten Vortrag über das Thema “Die Produkte in der Bäckereibranche, Trends und Zukunft.” Die Organisation des Event war wunderbar, das Rahmenprogramm sehr unterhaltsam, und die Sitzungen erfreuten sich einer regen Teilnahme. Die Kommissionsmeetings standen allen Delegierten offen, was zu einer zahlreichen Teilnahme führte.
Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse des Kongresses sind die Aufnahme von Burkina Faso, China, Estland, Kanada, Marokko und Taiwan als UIB-Mitglieder mit Beobachtungsstatus, das grüne Licht für den Zusammenschluβ von UIB und UIPCG, die Vereinbarungen zur Eintragung unserer Union ins nationale Verbandsregister des spanischen Innenministeriums, die Wahl von Andreu Llargués zum Weltbäcker des Jahres 2012, die Teilnahme der UIB am Internationalen Ernährungskongreβ ICN 2013 in Granada, die Stärkung der Arbeitskommissionen und die Bilanz von 2010 sowie das Budget für 2012.

Besondere Beachtung fanden die Delegierten aus Taiwan, Frau Ellen Yin, aus Algerien, Herr Kalafat, und aus China, Herr Wu, die zum allerersten Mal an einem Treffen der UIB teilnahmen. Darüber hinaus kam James Griffin aus Irland nach Verona, um nach dem Tod von Patrick Garvey zu versuchen, die Beziehungen zu Irland fortzusetzen.

Del 14 al 17 de Octubre de 2011 se celebró en Verona el Congreso de la UIB, por invitación de la Federación Italiana de Panadería, FIPPA. Tuvieron lugar reuniones de las cuatro Comisiones de Trabajo, el Presidium y el Congreso, además de una interesante conferencia sobre el tema “Los productos del mercado en la panadería, tendencias y futuro”. La organización fue perfecta, el programa social muy entretenido y las reuniones enormemente participativas, ya que todas las Comisiones estuvieron abiertas a todos los delegados que quisieron asistir, por lo que contaron con una numerosísima asistencia.
Las principales conclusiones de Congreso fueron la adhesión a la UIB de Burkina Faso, Canadá, China, Estonia, Marruecos y Taiwan como miembros observadores de la UIB, la luz verde para la fusión entre UIB y UIPCG, los acuerdos relativos a la inscripción de nuestra Unión en el Registro Nacional de Asociaciones del Ministerio del Interior en España , la elección de Andreu Llargués como Panadero Mundial del Año 2012, la participación de la UIB en el Congreso Internacional de Nutrición 2013 en Granada, el reforzamiento de las Comisiones de Trabajo y las cuentas anuales 2010 y el presupuesto para el ejercicio 2012.

Hay que destacar que los delegados de Taiwan, la señora Ellen Yin, de Argelia, el señor Kalafat, y de China, el señor Wu, asistieron por primera vez a una reunión de la UIB. Asimismo, tras el fallecimiento de Patrick Garvey de Irlanda, el señor James Griffin se acercó a Verona para intentar retomar las relaciones con Irlanda.
